l'oreal paris skin perfect age20+ cream

Hello people! How's your weekend? Mine is the usual.. i was clearing up my make up and cream stash and while doing so my hands came on the loreal cream and i was about to throw it away but before that i thought I'll do a review of it first and so here i go..

Price:
Rs. 99/-

Packing:
The packing comes in a white outer box with a gold strip. The same goes with the tube of the cream. The cream comes for 3 different age groups: 20+, 30+ and 40+. The age variant in written on the tube. I don't have the box now.

What It Says:
Instantly glowing and shine-free skin. Clean and fresh skin.
Day after day:
- Imperfections are reduced
- Skin is fairer
- Skin quality is improved
- Tone is even.

Experience:
This cream is a white coloured medium to thick consistency cream which spreads easily. It is moisturizing but dry skinned beauties can stay away from this. It imparts a kind of a freshness and a glow to your face which lasts sometime. Now the bad part - this cream broke me out!! Initially i thought its not the cream, i was travelling then and so i thought that it must have been some water change but no, it was the cream. Though I'd admit this does real good to the face but then I hate the  fact that it broke me and ever since i didn't use this cream.
The cream has a strong scent to it, to me the smell is quite known, I reckon a stronger version of the scent of the garnier white 24 hour cream, if you remember.. the scent lasts for 3-5 minutes post application after which it slowly fades away. Sensitive noses might find the fragrance too strong; like personally I'm not a fan of it.
You cannot use this cream without a moisturizer in winters.
** here, I must say that a few off my friends have used this cream and they love it, in fact one of them swears by this cream.

Will I Recommend:
You can use this cream as it does gives that fresh feeling to the face and imparts a glow but do a patch test first.

Rating:
I would give it 3/5.

Lakme Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse

hello lovely people :) how're you all doing? Diwali is up soon and I'm really hoping for an eco-diwali this year, something that I follow religiously every year :D
So I had a couple of marriages to attend recently (believe me, everyone around me is getting married) and I was looking for a very light natural foundation and not something heavy and I came across this mattreal mousse from the lakme absolute range. The SA had suggested that this was the one I should go with as it was something that fits into what i was n looking for and that it looks very natural. Now, there were two reasons why I finally picked this up - my skin felt extremely soft after application and looked very natural and
- the cute packing :P
but does this cute looking thing actually live up to it's claim? Read on to know..

Price:
Rs. 700/- for 25 g

Claims:
Feather light texture with a mousse to powder finish for breathable natural skin which lasts upto 16 hours.
Contains SPF 8.
It comes with a direction card.

Experience:
I picked up the shade 02 Rose Fair.
Okay so this mousse has a really pretty packaging. It comes in a square black carton and once you open it, sits inside, a cute little round ball like container and even that looks so classy and pretty. the top half is the twist up opener which is glossy and the rest half of the container is matte. I give a big thumbs up to lakme for such a pretty, cute packing.

The moment you open the lid, you will notice it has a very strong citrusy + i don't know what smell but it fades away a few minutes after application.
Now the texture; its very rubbery, slimey but not that bad.

Now this foundation blends really fast, like super fast. I was really amazed to see that.. coming to the coverage, it gives you a light to medium coverage and it gives a very natural look. I remembered the lakme tvc which said 'makeup jo na lage made up'. It sets to a powdery finish. One more tging tgat was really good was that once I applied this, my skin felt extremely soft..

Coming to the pros and cons!

Pros:
:* skin feels extremely soft
:* gives a very natural look
:* i don't know if this is a pro but the jar is very very cute

Cons:
:( sensitive noses may not like the strong fragrance but it doesn't stay for long.
:( not many shades to choose feom

I would recommend this product if you get your shade.

Lakme CC Cream

Holaa!! What's up? It's such a lazy day today, i hurt my leg last night and I'm sitting with a bandage on which refrained from going to work as well. So last night I had gone for a movie and i had gone for this movie followed by getting some coffee and roaming around the places. I know it sounds damn random and trust me it was and it was also fun as I hadn't done something of this sought for a really long time.
Anyway, I didn't wanna go too much with the make up and all. i wanted a simple, clean and a healthy looking skin and so my obvious choice was the Lakme CC Cream, you ask why/ because this cream, I tell you, is really your own skin stylist as they call it. read on to know why!

Price: Rs. 250/- for 30 ml

Experience:

There are two shades in this - Bronze and Beige. I got the shade Bronze. It has a creamy texture which blends like a dream.. I mean it just disappears into your skin.. it gives a medium coverage which can be built up. It evens out the skin very beautifully.. this cc cream moisturizes your skin and gibes it a healthy glow and then there's SPF 20 which would be okay in winters but you might need a sunscreen in summers.. on me it last for 7-8 hours easily in hot hot weather with my T-zone getting a bit shiny but nothing that cannot be handled.. oily skinned beauties might not really appreciate it  but  then a good compact can do the needful in that case.. And girlies, this photographs really well ;)

The consistency is medium to thick.

blended!!

the good:

<3 moisturizes
<3 even out tone
<3 gives a dewy look
<3 stays long
<3 has spf 20
<3 little goes long
<3 not very expensive
<3 easily available

the not so good:

</3 shade selection
</3 oily skinned beauties may not like the shine it would give in a couple of hours

I would definitely recommend this product! Do give it a shot, its worth it.. :)

Fair & Lovely BB Cream review

Heyy pretty ladies !! Whatzup <3

Ready for the review ?? sure, you are :*
So today i am going to review Fair & Lovely BB Cream- New product from Fair & Lovely. Before this product, fair and lovely has never launched any such product so obviously you people will hesitate a bit before using it. I thought why not solve your problem ;) and then i rushed to the store and bought a tester pack of Fair and Lovely BB cream just to let you all know about it. ( yeah, this is the best thing Fair and lovely did, they launched a tester pack :D)

Fair & Lovely BB Cream is made keeping in mind the Indian Skin and tone and thus the texture of the cream is really really smooth and creme. It will blend on your skin very easily. You don't have to struggle to blend it out like most of the bb and cc creams. It took me hardly 10-20 sec to blend it out perfectly. I bought a tester pack so i am gonna show you how the tester pack of this product looks like.

This product is a drugstore product and easily available in India. It is so affordable that probably every single girl on earth can buy it and use. Fair & Lovely has made a good effort i must say.
The product is good, can be used on routine basis. It comes with a moisturizer so you don't have to use a moisturizer before using this product if you have a dry skin.
Well, this product is not good for girls who have oily skin. It's not gonna work on your skin :( Its gonna give a patchy look if used.

This product when used, will not give you a glowing effect but it will give you more of a natural look. It will give you a good finishing but forget about the glow or any shining effect as the advertisement shows you :p :p You can use it casually, it is not a product to be used for parties, weddings, cocktails etc. You can use either on routine basis casually or you can carry it in office for touch up,

But at last, i must say, a good effort by Fair and Lovely and i am sure they will come up with more exciting supa awesome products.

Pros-
-very creamy and smooth
- made for Indian Skin
- Perfect for all tones
- works good on dry or partially dry skin
- affordable
- tester pack is also launched ( you can try it)

Cons-
- Not long lasting ( 4 hours max in summers)
- It comes with only one skin tone.
- people with oily skin should avoid this.
- Extra fair people avoid it. Its not for you !

Price of a tester pack - INR 50/- ONLYYYYY !!

P.S-  A product which can be used but lets not compare it with Lakme or Maybelline !!

Stay tuned for more ladies !! A lot more is yet to come :D

*FEEDBACK AND YOUR POINT OF VIEW IS WELCOME*

COlorbar 'Bare' Lipstick

Hii beauties :) how are you all doing? It's saturday and I'm sitting in office with files all around me :| I was down with a very bad flu for the past few days because of which he has been too considerate in giving me a off for 2 days just to overload me with work today :P so as I was getting ready today i thought of reviewing a lippie today..
Ever since I started applying lipcolors I have been trying to search for this one perfect nude shades which does not wash me out but suits me just perfectly.. I bought many nude shades which would just wash me out. I had almost given up but then i was shopping one day and I picked up one of the most talked about nude shade 'Bare' by colorbar velvet matte collection, I expected the same out of this as well that it will not suit me and will wash me out but NO, it looked extremely pretty.. a very pretty nude shade that didn't wash me out, looked just perfect.. I wish this never goes off their collection.

Price: Rs. 299/-

Packing:
This comes in a silver color case with a transparent cap with the color of the lipstick in.the bottom making it easy to spot. It's good to carry around in your bag. The packing is decent keeping in mind the price.
The Colorbar Velvet Matte has huge range of colours.. you literally will find any color you want in it and to be honest I kinda really like these lipcolors! My first one from this range was 'Obsessed Orange' in fact and their was no looking back, that's how much I liked it.

My Experience:

As I said, when I bought this lip color I honestly thought that even this shade would wash me out and would but I was surprised to see how pretty it looked. It is a nude pink shade with kinda blue undertones and as the name suggests 'Bare' it literally sits there on your lips making you look really pretty. This shade can be carried off by any skin tone very easily.
The texture is creamy matte, dry lips may need a lip balm underneath and the pigmentation is good enough, only one swipe is enough for the color, you can go for 2 or 3 swipes if you want it to be a bit darker.
The staying power of this lipcolor is great!  It stays on for good 6-7 hours worth light meals after which it fades away but it leaves a pretty tint. Now these lip colors stain, they stain like anything and you gotta use a good cleansing milk to get rid of them. Apart from this, I absolutely love the color and the texture and the staying power!!

The upper one being one swipe and the lower one being two swipes!!

The Good:
- one of the prettiest nude pink shade
- price :D
- staying power *phuntastic :D*
- leaves a pretty tint when it starts to fade away
- no fuss packing

The not so Good:
- stains

I didn't find any other con except for this and for some staining can be a major issue. I'm not so bothered with it.

Ratings:
:* :* :* :* 1/2 out of 5
I wanted to give it a complete 5 but deducting half a mark for the staining part. I know people have issues with it.

Will I repurchase?
Yes!
Now 'Bare' has given me hopes again that tejre are perfect nude shades made for me and I might just go hunting again but this shade, I'll always wanna have it with me. Also I'm buying more from this range :D

GLAM UP

Hey girls...!! whats upp ??? bhoooo....we are back with another super review.

Okay so this time its GLAM UP !! I know most of the girls must be already using it and most of them would be wondering to use it or not :p so considering your confusion, we are back here to show you the path haha !!
It has been a while since glam up has been launched. I was like really really in a dilemma to use it or not as it is a drugstore product and yeahh i was lil afraid to use it on my skin.
Once, i was just out for shopping of cosmetics and i saw glam up, i thought " LET'S DO IT" !! so here it is :D

Glam up !! not so bad dude ;)
The best part of this is that you can use it on routine basis and also if you are heading towards a cocktail party or a wedding, it can be used as a primer to your makeup. So i would call it a two in one cream. Also it gives a lil glow to your fact. The glow would not be as heavy as a BB cream or CC cream would give you but the glow is quite dull. Well if you are going to college or tution or just you know going out casually, you can use it.

It comes in a normal tube as you can just see in the picha. The texture of the cream is really really smooth. You would love it. Also it blends quite well on the face. I mean you don't have to struggle to blend this one as most of the creams. I assure you blending this one would not be a task for you haha :D

You will become a fan of its creamy texture. But yes the only thing is it does not work as good as any BB or CC cream would do. Also, i just forgot to mention that it comes with a moisturizer quotient. Once you will apply glam up, i don't think you will need a moisturizer after this. Girls who have dry skin, it's for you ;) girls with oily skin, avoid it *straightforward* ( yeshh i am quite straightforward)

THINGS THAT WILL ATTRACT YOU TO THIS PRODUCT -
1. Creamy texture
2. Easy to blend
3. Affordable price
4. Routine use
5. Easily available in any drugstore in Bharat :)

HOW CAN YOU USE IT ?
  1. You can use it originally as it is on routine basis. It is good if you are going out casually and you just have to flaunt your natural glowing skin. It does not look artificial. It basically cleanses your face.
  2. You can mix it with a foundation and then apply to your face. It works good with a foundation. I do this several times.
  3. You could use it as a primer if you are going for a cocktail party, dinner date, wedding, romantic date etc.
Best thing about the product -
  1. It a two in one product. You can use it with various other creams too.
  2. It's not gonna harm your skin as it is manufactured for daily use. BB creams and CC creams contains heavy chemicals, This one is quite light.
  3. Price is affordable and anyone could buy it not even giving a second thought.
  4. Can be replaced by the primer in case of heavy makeup.
Worst things about the product-
  1. It is not waterproof.
  2. Does not lasts long. You might need a touch up after 4 - 5 hours.
Product details-
Price - 150/- approx
Available easily
Black cap and red tube.
Net Worth - 25 gram
Direction - Applied to cleanse face, as and when required.
Suitable for - dry skin types

 Hope you like the review.
FEEDBACK IS WELCOME WITH OPEN HEART <3

Revlon PhotoReady Compact

Hello beauties :) how have you been?
Me had great fun today, got a half day from work, yayy ;)  and me and kanika took this opportunity to sit together with a cup off coffee in this awesome rainy weather and work on VFW.. it was so pleasant outside, rain + coffee + VFW.. so while i was thinking of a product review I thought of doing it for the Revlon PhotoReady compact. Read on to know how I like it.

Price: Rs. 1250/-

Packing:

This comes in a black rectangular shaped box with an mirror inside making it very easy for touch ups. The lick shuts tight making it travel friendly. I kinda like it as it's a rectangular shaped box and so the mirror is a bit larger when compared to a circular shaped one. The sponge of this is really good, I'm thinking of washing off the sponge and using it once I'm done with the product. I like the packing of it, simple and smart!

My Experience:

It's a creme compact and the SA told me that it can be used as both wet and dry, though i did not try the wet one yet, I shall soon and let you know how it fared but right now I'll stick to the dry use of the compact. This particular shade would look good on olive and yellow undertoned skin.
This is my first cream compact, I was confused which one to buy between lakme 9 to compact and this one but then the shade in the lakme 9 to 5 s not available and so I picked this up. This product, when i say creme compact, is really creamy. I was apprehensive that i would look like a ghost but then no, it blended beautifully and the coverage is decent. Now, one thing here, i do not dare apply this on top of a foundation as that would just mean applying another heavy product on top of one already existing heavy product.

On the days when I don't want to apply foundation and concealer and etc. I simply only use this compact or top this over my bb/cc cream and I like the way it evens out my skin tone and looks really good without giving my face the feeling of being loaded with products.
Now, coming to it's staying power, it lasts for good 5-6 hours though I think in case of the oily skinned beauties, you might need a touch up after 2-3 hours as it's  creme compact and powder compact works the best for you!!

In the left picture there is nothing applied on my hand and in the right side of the picture, Revlon PhotoReady compact has been applied.

The Good:
- evens out skin tone
- amazing sponge
- last long, even in this hot weather
- simple yet smart packing
-  travel friendly and the mirror makes it easy for touch ups

The not so good:
- price! Rs. 1250/- is a lot for a compact
- might not be liked by the oily skinned beauties. The creamy texture might just not work.
- you need to know how much product is required for application, excess might make you look like a weirdo.

Rating:
:* :* :*

Will I repurchase?
Nah! I would want to try out some other creme compact! :D

Lakme Makeup Pro app

Hello ladies!!
How was the week? Mine was not great at all.. there has been a change of weather in Delhi which gave me a pretty bad flu *sob sob* and today being friday I was hoping i would get a half day and that I would catch up with kanika for a cuppa coffee but now that looks cancelled :( *me hate*
Anyway, so I'm a little bit technologically challenged, not much, in the sense that I don't use many apps and all, just the basic ones but then I recently downloaded this new app launched my Lakme- the Lakme Makeup Pro App. They say it's the very first real time make up app and I couldn't agree more.. off late I have been pleasantly surprised with lakme's growing competition.. they products are really pulling me back tpwards them again :D also i can't wait for their new launch 'the glow creme' under their 9 to 5 range. Details will be up here on the blog soon..
Anyway so coming back to the app, this app is really cool.. you have to upload a pic of yours and then you can try out various looks and products by lakme and see how it looks on you, also if you like how a certain product looks on you, you can buy that product on the spot, straight from there.. nice na ;)
You can also the comparison of the before and after makeup.. here is a few pics of that app!!

The first pic is basically an overview of how the app looks, when you click on each feature you have a list of products that are for that and you can choose the desired shade..
The second pic, well, is of kanika where i tried a few products on her and this is basically the comparison thing, right being with makeup and left being the actual pic.. now the only problem here is that I'm just hoping kanika doesn't come and kill me when she opens the blog and looks at this :P you see, I was just experimenting on her ;) :D :P

Download the app for more real time make up and share with us your experience.. :)
Take care :*:*

The Summer Care Regime

It's super duper burnimg hot here in delhi with the temperature just rising and rising and so ofcourse suncare becomes a mandatory routine.. Tthis suncare regime consists of pre and post sun damage.
This is just a peep through into the products used and the detailed review for each of the product will be up here soon..
Products used are:
1) Lotus Herbals SPF 50 spray sunscreen lotion.
2) Lotus Herbals SPF 40 sunscreen.
3) Lotus Herbals safe sun face wash.
4) Lotus Herbals detan face scrub.
5) Lotus Herbals detan face pack.
6) Oriflame after sun balm.
Products 3,4 and 5 are the products used for detanning.
I was having a very tanning weeks till a while back where i had gone to trek in the Himalayas in the scorching sun yet very cold weather followed by a holiday in Goa and finally followed by going yo Kolkata to attend a wedding. All these hot and humid places tanned me so bad I literally wasn't able to recognize my own self and not only that I got the shock of my life when my compact was not suiting my skin tone as I had gone so dark. At such a horrible stage these products came to my rescue and man! What products, I tell you.. I could see a difference in my face from the first use!! *happy dance* me so satisfied with it 😀😀
And then there's this after sun balm that I use which is by Oriflame.. It soothes the skin after the harsh sun rays and starts working immediately towards not letting it create a major damage to your skin.
As promised above, detailed review coming soon!!
